My narrative project is about a time when I have made a decision and this decision affected me in a negative way. When thinking about what I should write about I could not think of many events worth writing about because of the situation or because of the quality of which the writing would have been presented on.After some time I came up with the idea of the time I was suspended in middle school because of a snowball fight.I chose this event because not too many have been suspended from school and because I thought it would be a lighthearted entertaining event to write about. In the style of this scene I used present tense and first person to tell my story.I have practiced using present tense in my blog post Composing Action into Scenes and also in Composing a Present Scene.Using these skills that I practiced using in these blogs helped me write my scene. My first draft of my scene was created in my blog post titled Composing a Past Scene and my second draft was written in blog post titled Composing a Past Scene: Part Two.IN my second draft I have added more dialog and also added more descriptive to the environment to help set the scene.I will be creating more drafts in my blog post and will be using more skills that I learn to adjust my final draft. All of my drafts are never a finished product since a writing in never complete.
In the second draft of All fun and games I used a third person perspective of story telling. This caused the tense of the dialogue to change. I also put a different ending like fan fiction. Part of the story is true up to when I started to walk home, but after that the rest is made up. I did this because I was researching the differences between the two and was trying to find what I wanted my final copy to be about. After writing the second draft I found that for my final draft I will write about the true story and not a fan fiction draft. You can also watch my Narrative Project 2nd Draft Vlog For more info on my second draft.
For my final draft I wrote the true story and not the fan fiction or alternate outcome draft. I also added content like additional dialogue, further explanation of events and more detail to charters. I chose to use the real events because I thought that the reader could build a better connection to the real life charters. I also added a deeper explanation to the effect the event took on me. All of the drafts can be found below and thank you for reading.
This is where I will be posting my drafts for my narrative project.
